"I have experienced the value of FutureWorks first hand. After 35 years of retail management I was at a crossroads and knew that I could not continue that occupation at my age due to the strenuous work involved. I set out to upgrade my computer skills and with the counselling through YWCA proceeded to look for work. I was not qualified for many of the jobs I responded to and was getting discouraged. I came to one of your introduction sessions and proceeded to register with the help of Lianne Coetzee. Continuing to look for work, I came across an ad in the paper to which I sent my cover letter and resume. The company responded with a request for an interview. At the inteview I mentioned I was registered with FutureWorks and explained the work that you do. I got the job and the owners told me that it would take approximately 6 months for me to learn all the technical terms and the paper work required to be an asset to the company. Your counsellors responded and gave assistance to the company during my training.Without the help of FutureWorks I would not have been successful in achieving the position at which I am now happily employed and have become a productive employee to my employers. thank you FutureWorks for your help in such a win-win achievement for all."
