Thavy Phonsavath - OHRMA

Thavy Phonsavath is a human resources professional with 15 years of progressive experience.  Thavy has worked in diverse industries including consumer products, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, financial, manufacturing and retail. 


As a coach and advisor, Thavy has worked with leaders and teams in sales and marketing, IT, investments, operations, manufacturing, global supply chain, customer service and shared services.  As an internal consultant, she has worked for such organizations as Warner-Lambert (acquired by Pfizer Pharmaceuticals), Ontario Teacher’s Financial and Pension Plan Board, Teleglobe Telecommunications, and a division of Pepsi Cola.  As an external consultant, her clients have included HSBC, Sun-Rype, and Armtec Infrastructure Income Fund.

Thavy’s passion and focus is human development.  She is dedicated to helping leaders build powerful teams and organizations through individual and systems coaching, organizational development and human resources performance.  Her business, strategic and operational background brings credibility and value to the work with her clients.  

Thavy is a certified coach and has completed the International Co-Active™ Leadership Program with the Coaches Training Institute (CTI).  In addition to a Bachelor’s degree, Thavy has been certified by the Ontario Human Resources Professional Association, and has completed the Provincial Instructor diploma program.  

Arden Albino - CHRP

Arden launched her practice 1989, initially focusing on all aspects of organization and job design as well as job evaluation. Eventually her work expanded to include a comprehensive range of compensation and other reward activities.  From strategic design to the technical basics, clients turn to Arden for specialized expertise, an impartial perspective, and leadership for their projects and initiatives.

Arden's expertise is built on a foundation of over 25 years experience in human resources. She is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP). Her affiliation with BCHRMA and WorldatWork fosters ongoing currency in HR trends and advancements.  With a commitment to continuous learning, Arden is currently completing the Executive Program in Strategic Innovation through the Sauder School of Business at UBC.

As a member of the BCHRMA Professional Designation Committee, Arden supports the development of others in the HR profession. She also conducts workshops, teaching the principles of work design and compensation basics to HR practitioners. Arden is a published author in her field and does guest speaker engagements at post-secondary institutions, addressing students of the HR field.

Lewisa Anciano - CHRP, MA Organizational Management

Lewisa Anciano was formerly a Vice President, Human Resources with an award- winning technology company, in charge of strategic planning, corporate communications and human resources.  She is a Certified Human Resource Professional and holds Masters Degree in Organizational Management.  In 2009 she completed the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business, Executive Institute (Advanced Management) program.  Lewisa has applied her HR practice to technology, telecommunication, banking, entertainment and contact centre industries. As well, she has brought her expertise to unionized and non-unionized environments, start-up, turnaround and established corporate cultures.  

Lewisa serves on the Board of Directors and is Chair of the Finance Committee of the BC Human Resources Management Association.  Between 2005 and 2008, she taught management courses in the Business Continuing Studies program at Langara College.  Lewisa has been featured in the National Post, BC Business and the Canadian HR Reporter for progressive work in the human resources field and has been a speaker at the American Society of Training and Development’s International Conference on Innovative Action, Learning, and Leadership Development practices. 

Arthur Docherty - CHRP , BA Commerce,  HR major

Arthur Docherty is that rare combination of established HR professional with working level experience with start up and early stage companies.   He is currently President, CEO and a founding Principal with 2Tis Technologies Inc., a Vancouver based start up created to market a revolutionary new product called “Enginelock”.  www.enginelock.com

In addition to 2Tis Technologies Inc., Arthur has also been a founding member of 3 other start up ventures.  HR1STOP, his own successful HR Consulting firm, Xerion EcoSolutions Inc. and HRD Technologies Inc.  As President of HRD Technologies, Arthur led the company through a growth stage from a $ 300k/year business to $ 2.0 M in 18 months.  He has managed rapid business expansions on more than one occasion.  Arthur has over 25 years generalist HR experience gained exclusively in the non-union private sector, in firms ranging in size from start ups to 27,000 employees.

Throughout his career, Mr. Docherty has learned and applied a broad set of HR skills at both strategic and ‘hands on’ levels within organizations.  His HR experience covers the full spectrum of skills required to attract / retain / and develop human capital within client organizations. These skills include people assessment, compensation (both direct and indirect), employee relations and communications, training and development, performance management, succession planning, policy/procedure development and outplacement counselling.

In addition to organizationally applied HR expertise, Mr. Docherty is a sought after speaker and lecturer in the fields of management, human resources and job search. He has made numerous presentations at universities, colleges and technical institutions (once in a jail) throughout the Lower Mainland and has assisted many students in the transition from academia to the “world of work”.  

Mr. Docherty received a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Human Resources from The University of Calgary in 1975.  He has been a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) since 1994 and a member of BCHRMA since 1980.

Brad Herbert - CHRP, MA Industrial and Labour Relations, BA Business Administration, HR major

Brad has been a Human Resources professional since 1992, specializing in fast-growth, global, and entrepreneurial companies.  As an executive with Electronic Arts Brad led all global talent development and organizational excellence programs, and as the VP of HR for the worldwide studio system Brad was accountable for all HR programs for 14 studios in 6 countries, 5,400 employees, and 60 HR employees.  Brad has held Business Partner and Compensation/ Benefits/Mobility roles at Electronic Arts, Netscape Communications, and Amdahl Corporation.  

Brad holds a Master’s degree in Industrial and Labour Relations from Cornell University, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an HR specialization from Michigan State University, and is certified to administer the Myers-Briggs (MBTI) indicator.
